I love the way that, when driving through the British countryside, trees meet above to create a screaming green tunnel.

So true! The photos remind me of a bus ride (from Worcester to Hereford, I think) where we went along a road like this, and passed an old stone building surrounded by trees.

As children we used to call them fairy tunnels, and I am sure I saw fairies in them.

Love tree tunnels too. There is a really good one on the island of Kauai. We never called them screaming tunnels– althoughwe screamed for the length of the tunnel.

I’ll have to read up about Kauai. We scream through concrete and brick tunnels, but there are so many of these tree ones here, that you would lose your voice.

love how the title ties in with the first three photos- you transported me…and that is the beauty of a great artist- or great art…& i’m still workin your piece around in my brain- the one you suggested- thought around it a lot today as i went about things…didn’t forget- rollin it over for a minute…i’ll let you know… 🙂
