My most useless gift was a Secret Santa. In fact there were two. One was reindeer salt and pepper pots and the other was beret in colours that don’t suit me.
The great thing about useless Christmas gifts is that they can be given to charity and someone else might get some use out of them. Nothing in life is more profound than turning a negative into a positive!
I don’t think anyone could get reasonable use out of the salt and pepper pots. I keep the beret, because it’s pretty and it reminds me of the team I was working with at the time.
I have Xmas salt and pepper pots. Have brought them out and used them for 16 years now. Just love them and it’s always a little sad to put them away in January!
That was a good one! I hope that kid eventually opened his real iPad present, otherwise, that was a pretty cruel thing to do to a kid. LOL. Nowadays, teasing a kid in that way is likely to get at least one ‘accidental Mom, I promise!’ baseball thrown through the sliding glass doors.
I thought this graphic might be of interest to you, but I don’t know if it will post properly. I will try again, using a different method, if this graphic doesn’t render correctly.
That is interesting – I just did a tester on Statista and didn’t realise how much revenue the UK makes on wine – some 3 1/2 time more than France – I think this must be because we have a bigger population and we get charged more per bottle.

No useless gifts that I can remember. Let’s see what tris year brings. Meanwhile, have a very happy Christmas, with at least one gift that brings you pleasure.
My most useless gift was the only one I had specifically requested- yet another pretty blank journal I won’t have time to fill up any time in the next year. Otherwise, I got a rice cooker which should have been useful but I had requested it several years ago and have basically stopped cooking since then…
Keep hold of that journal it may come in handy later. I love my rice cooker – but have found that unless its kept easy to get hold of it will never get used. My useless gift this year was a pair of slippers – too fluffy to be of use – but thankfully too small for me, so I will never have to wear them.

reindeer salt and pepper pots – imagine going to the trouble of putting salt and pepper in them just to use for a few days let alone longer

I know. So useless. I’m not sure who could think up something like that.

I think that photo is hysterical. And I’d adore a reindeer salt and pepper set! Sounds so cute!
