Amazing! I’ll start looking in puddles now – though I don’t think I could take photos anywhere near as good. The first photo looks like there really is a shard of mirror glass by the road, and the reflection of the building in the last photo adds something unexpected.
It’s interesting that the colors and clarity of the police car in the puddle reflection are greater than the car itself. I suspect it must have something to do with the way the light is hitting the car, but I don’t know enough about the physics of light to say for sure. In any event, they’re all good photos — but the duckies are my favorite!
There is something interesting about puddle reflections, just as yours show. I don’t have a single such photo in my files. It’s an urban phenomena, I suppose.
Loving your unusual take on mirror/reflection SOL ~ you’ve used the puddles to great effect. I particularly like the Ancasta Road one, which reflects the unseen roof and top storey of the house! 🙂
I looked it up on the map (used to work for SCC Housing dept years ago but forgot where Ancasta Rd is!) I expanded the snap and can see it’s of The Guide Dog ~ very interesting shot! 🙂
Wow! These were excellent shots showcasing your talent as an awesome photographer! Well done.

It rained yesterday followed by sunshine, so these views are very typical in England

Nice, of these I find that third the most interesting, I think because it shows something I don’t see in the rest of the photo.

The photos are lovely, as always. I was really surprised by the clarity of the reflection in the first one.

The sun had just the right amount of cloud cover after heavy rain – that helped

Hi, Sol. I agree with Amy that your 3rd shot is intriguing because it’s different from what we see.

It is so lovely to see ducks wander about – it was the first time I’ve seen ducks drinking from puddles rather than from a bigger pond

Police car does it for me. Putting those emergency colours in an unfamiliar place. Nice.

One of my favourite pubs, but I can’t afford to go out drinking much these days.
