I hope that wasn’t your window.
We got off fairly lightly, although the climbing roses will never be the same again. They’re more lying in the mud roses at the moment.
I’m glad it wasn’t your window.
It was too windy to get too close to the roses to find out how bad the damage was. They have huge thorns and doing anything with them usually means that blood is spilled.
Nice one, Sol

Like it a lot :). It brought to mind a famous hailku by Ryokan:
The thief
Left it behind-
The moon at the window.
This is a bit sacrilegious, but…
Storm Katie
Left it behind-
A hole in the window
Glenn… 😉

Thanks for your haiku Glen – I’ll have to look up Ryokan for further reading

No. It is of Southampton’s abandoned hospital – Moorgreen. Poor roses, if they are still in at the roots – there might be hope.

Very clever Haiku. ‘Mocking’ was the perfect way to end it. Nice photo as well.

How odd, I was at Moorgreen on Easter Sunday taking photos before they knock it down. Katie chased me all the way home.
